I started listening to Demi Lovato because of Natalie, who even got to go to her concert!
Aside from her alarmingly lack of voice constraint (it’s like she’s yelling every song), Lovato presents a surprisingly good album, “Unbroken.” My favorite track “Lightweight” highlights what I love most about the album: the vulnerability that she bravely displays. It’d be an understatement to say that she’s been through a lot this past year. To me, this track expresses the struggles she faces, especially with her recent rehabilitation for bipolar disorder. She lists out her weaknesses in her song, but it hardly makes her weak person. By singing this, she’s doing what most people can’t do - acknowledging their own fragility. My second favorite track is “Fix a Heart.”
