1) I won’t be posting anymore pictures of parties on Facebook. Lately, I’ve been finding myself, more and more, in positions where I’m suppose to be a role model (aha…) During one of our staff meetings for the academic advising office I work for, my boss asked demanded that we remain “professional” at all times - even when we’re not working - to the students who use our office as a resource. If the students decide to look up our Facebook and see “unprofessional” pictures of us, then they might get the wrong message that what we’re doing in those pictures is okay. Also, since I’ve started my position as a CA at VDC, I’ve realized that its hard to break parties if someone at the parties ever points out, “well, I’ve seen pictures of you doing this or that…” I have another story: I’ve been volunteering at a club associated with my church that helps international students practice their English by having conversations with them. (If anyone is interested, we meet every Monday at 5:30pm, let me know!) One of the students invited me to drink with him; of course, I politely declined. I pointed out that the legal drinking age here at the US is 21 and that, since I’m a minor, I don’t drink. He then tells me that he has looked through my pictures on Facebook (we’re not friends on Facebook) and that he’s seen “many, many, many” pictures of me drinking -____-.
I’ve already been extremely careful with what I post on Facebook and I’ve also been careful with who I friend on Facebook, but I guess its just smarter for me to refrain from posting anything that would suggest partying, drinking, etc. (at least at VDC anyways.)
2) On a happier note, I turn 21 in 5 more months ^____^!
3) I posted this quote recently about mental illness: http://alvinlee.tumblr.com/post/5859721532/comparisons-theres-a-stigma-in-this-country
…along with the disclaimer that I don’t watch Glee, but after I posted it, I decided to watch the episode to get a better idea of where the quote was coming from. And I got hooked! All because of this episode: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Widfun4HjPY
I love the shirts they wear to the performance. I would love to have a shirt that says a flaw of mine. How liberating would it be to wear it in public! Anyways, I decided to start from the beginning, so I’m still on season 1! I’m so behind, but… Glee!
4) “Do you still love him?”

I feel for you. It’s a tough thing to do. To be honest when I was an RA, I didn’t take my pictures down. I made it a point to be honest with my residents and say I don’t drink here, so you shouldn’t either. But the fish bowl of the job is strong….
